What kind of horror has transpired in the woods? What happened to Billy? Billy was last seen in the woods over 10 years ago. What happened to him and where is he now? No one knows for sure. Would you be brave enough to venture into the woods and find out?

About the Painting

Horror in the Woods took approximately an hour to paint using Clip Studio Paint. This was a composition exercise using a darker foreground with a lighter less saturated background. After almost finishing the painting, I thought that this could be the scene of a spooky story so I added the man in the background along with a clue on the tree adding to the mystery. Since I’ve been learning about animation, I couldn’t resist playing with the timeline and animating the opacity to make the visage of Billy in the background appear ghostly.
